Using my HP Envy m6 Sleekbook which is powered by AMD A10 elite quad core which is not even equivalent to Intel Core i5, went on to read the latest tech news. Me, personally as a tech lover, I was both happy and sad to see the announcement of i9 by Intel. Happy because the new processors after a long time is finally here and sad because it makes me feel like my processor is a potato. About to be released on May 2017, those i9 processors are amazingly awesome.
It seems like Intel does not like the even numbers and thus not i8 but i9 which is codenamed skylake for me which does not makes sense. 5 different types of processors of i9 family are going to be released and best part about all of them is their frequency that can easily reach 3GHz. Amazing 14nm lithography also helped the i9 to reach up to 18 cores on Core i9-7980XE which will be the best of intel ever. Lets not forget the 13.75 MB cache out here as well. Max bus speed of 8 GT/s DMI3, max turbo frequency of 4.30 GHz, max memory support of 128GB and max 44 PCI express lanes are SOME OF THE PLENTY of features that i9 gives. Reading those all the features makes me feel like my laptop is a total crap. It does not even reach half of the specs of i9.
However, great quality comes with great price as the features of i9 are mouth opening, so is the price. The cheapest i9 will be priced at $999 and highest one to be $1999. If you are a typical nepali then its like a month's salary. And not to mention the fact that you can't just buy an i9 and fit it in your PC, you should have extra memory to support that as well.
Maybe Intel's i9 is the best one I have ever seen but hang on Intel, I am using AMD A10 and with that $1999 I would rather treat my girlfriend a nice dinner with shopping and would rather stick to my POTATO.
But, if you are planning to buy one then please carry on. Those processors are damn awesome. It will convert your simple PC into fully working sever. 4 GHz is hell of a speed specially for me who is still on 2 GHz. Anyways, jokes apart, I really liked the way Intel managed to compress the transistors into 14nm and highly attracted towards the i9, maybe I should start saving from right now to buy one and yeah i9 is totally conflict free so proudly head on and buy some.
